Machinima launch for Xbox 360 has us watching more games than we play
When Microsoft piled on the Xbox media channels last year, we didn't realize just how long it would take for some of those channels to come to fruition. We're quite possibly on the cusp of new hardware, and Machinima's app is just now making its Xbox 360 debut. Still, it might be worth the wait for those who live and breathe gaming even after they've set down the gamepad. The app includes the full suite of Machinima channels and their associated videos, ranging from regular shows and specials through to game blooper reels. Machinima is available everywhere Xbox Live is active; if that isn't enough to tide you over, Microsoft is teasing the reveal of a OneBeat electronic music app next month.

Is an official Twitter app for Google Glass in the works?
But what exactly would you do with a Twitter for Glass app?
Although Eric Schmidt seems to think that Google Glass is a year away from being in consumer's hands, the evidence is building that Twitter is working on its own app for the eyewear. A tweet has surfaced of a pretty unassuming picture, but the devil is in the details here -- the picture claims to be sent from a "Twitter for Glass" client, as denoted at the bottom of the tweet next to the timestamp. The tweet and account have also since been deleted, which you would expect if someone happened to leak something a bit too early. If that wasn't enough for you, consider also that the tweet in question has been found and pointed out by Jonathan Gottfried, who made the first unofficial Twitter client for Glass called "GlassTweet".
The evidence is pretty strong here, and we wouldn't at all be surprised if Twitter was working to have its client ready to go for the launch of Glass. The real question is, what would you actually see or do with a Twitter client on such a limited interface? We wouldn't expect a full scrolling list of your timeline, but what about notifications? Well, those would presumably be handled by your phone's own Twitter notifications already. Will the only function be to send pictures directly from Glass to Twitter? We hope they come up with something more compelling when it is actually available, but for now it's an interesting thought experiment.

YouTube broadcasting more MLB content for international viewers
Two free games per day on offer as long as you're not in North America, South Korea, Japan or Taiwan
The YouTube team has announced that Major League Baseball will be offering up more video content than ever before. The revamped MLB YouTube channel will be broadcasting highlights of games within a couple of days afterwards, alongside a whole host of clips and archived content. In addition to this, YouTube viewers will be able to see two live games per day, completely free of charge.
Considering the price of the At Bat mobile application, this is an extremely good deal for Baseball fans around the world. The catch is, that it's region specific. So, sadly, viewers in the U.S, Canada, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan cannot watch the daily free games. All other MLB content on YouTube will be available in those countries though.

Kodak offloads its film and scanner businesses to its UK pension group
Kodak may have offered to sell key parts of its document imaging unit to Brother for $210 million, but even that amount is just a small step on the company's long road out of bankruptcy. The company has been looking for a sweeter deal -- and it just found one by settling with its very own UK Kodak Pension Plan. The agreement offloads control of both the document and personal imaging units (read: scanners and film) in return for eliminating a hefty $2.8 billion in claims and receiving $650 million in 'considerations' that include cash. Kodak has already received approval from the UK's Pension Regulator and expects to submit its plans to a US bankruptcy court on Tuesday. We've also confirmed with Kodak that this will supercede the Brother deal as long as it's approved, so there shouldn't be any legal entanglements from changing suitors. As such, Kodak is well on its way to a healthier (if much smaller) company.

Olympia Circuits' Arno Shield lets Arduino newcomers bring their own board
While there have certainly been attempts at easing the Arduino learning curve, many of these still demand a new board or simplify just one aspect of a much larger universe. Olympia Circuits' new Arno Shield could help strike a better balance between starting fresh and diving into the deep end. It includes all the buttons, lights and sensors needed for 40-plus educational projects, but grafts on to existing boards such as the company's LeOlympia or an Arduino Uno. Owners don't have to add parts or wires; they just remove the shield once they've learned enough to create their own masterworks. The shield kit won't be cheap when it arrives on May 2nd for $60, but it may prove the real bargain for tinkerers who want a full-fledged Arduino board as soon as the training wheels come off.

Ask Engadget: best WiFi router for super-fast Fiber?
We know you've got questions, and if you're brave enough to ask the world for answers, then here's the outlet to do so. This week's Ask Engadget inquiry is from Travis from Provo, who is a jammy individual, wants to replace his router. If you're looking to ask one of your own, drop us a line at ask [at] engadget [dawt] com.
"I'm currently living in Provo UT, and my wireless router just died. I want to replace it with something that's going to handle Google Fiber as that's on its way. What do you recommend?"
Given the number of places that are now getting super-speed fiber, we're very interested in the results of this one. We ask a similar question each year, and in 2012 you were all voicing your support for Cisco/Linksys hardware, ASUS' RT-N66U and D-Link's DIR-655. The only question is what'll come out on top in 2013, so get commenting, friends.

OUYA says it has shipped consoles to 32-percent of early backers
50-percent of consoles expected to ship by end of next week, no matter your location
In a weekly email update from the OUYA team, we now know that a full 32-percent of early kickstarter backers of the console have had their devices ship out. If you'll recall, the first shipment notifications started heading out at the very end of March, and we're sure OUYA is cranking these things out as quickly as they can. Based on their initial estimates of shipping times, the consoles are actually getting out slightly ahead of schedule.
OUYA says that they expect to hit the 50-percent mark for shipments by the end of next week if all goes according to plan. They also explain that no matter where you live in the world, if you're an early backer those shipments should be picking up next week as well. These are exciting times, and we can't wait to see what these consoles can do once all of the developers have them in their hands.

HP Slate 7 now available online for $170
You could spend $170 on a HP Slate 7, but you shouldn't
You can officially not buy the HP Slate 7 today, as the tablet nobody would ever want is now available at HP's website. Your $170 does get you a nice design and quality materials (and Beats audio!), but the lackluster internals and low resolution 1024 x 600 display means you should give this one a pass. For $30 more you can get a Nexus 7 from Google or your local brick and mortar retailer.
But, if you insist, click the link below to order.
